Thunderkick said on 5 June 2024 that it had secured approval from Ontario’s Alcohol and Gaming Commission and planned to begin with its first customers on 12 June. Its 13 June follow-up said the supplier was live in Ontario with PokerStars and LeoVegas. These are two dated company statements: the first describes a planned start on 12 June; the second confirms live operations on 13 June. The latter is the dated confirmation used here as the event record. [1] [2]

The 13 June update describes the company as fully licensed by AGCO but does not name a registration category or give an effective time. The evidence therefore supports reporting Thunderkick’s own statement about approval, not a more specific historical regulatory status. [1] [2]

An iGaming Business feature published on 18 June also reported the Ontario launch with PokerStars and LeoVegas. The page is explicitly marked “Advertising feature,” so it is a separately published account but not independent editorial corroboration. It named an initial slate of 12 Bolts of Thunder, Xterminate, Midas Golden Touch 2, Beat the Beast: Dragon’s Wrath and Midas Golden Touch Reborn, and said those titles would be accessible within a month of launch. That was a stated rollout plan, not proof that every game arrived on schedule. [3]

Together, the dated notices place the approval announcement on 5 June, the planned first-customer start on 12 June, and Thunderkick’s live confirmation on 13 June. They support a mid-June Ontario launch; they do not establish market growth, player response, or a wider North American expansion outcome. [1] [2]
