AvatarUX announced Depths of Fortune on 31 July 2024, describing the underwater-themed slot as its first title to use Hold & Win. The studio paired that mechanic with Loaded Reel, a separate rewards reel used in both the base game and bonus mode.
According to AvatarUX, five or more golden coins trigger Hold & Win. The mode starts with three lives. A respin without a new coin removes one life, while a new coin resets the counter to three.
AvatarUX said Loaded Reel adds different reward types in the base game and in the bonus feature.
The studio said the initial release was exclusive to partners with direct integrations, with a wider rollout planned later.
