Sportradar agrees $170m sale of Atrium Sports to Teamworks
The agreement covers Synergy Sports’ coaching and scouting business, while Sportradar plans to retain technology used in its core services.
Sportradar has agreed to sell Atrium Sports, the coaching and scouting business of Synergy Sports, to Teamworks Innovations for $170 million in cash. The company announced the definitive agreement on October 7, 2026. At the time of the announcement, Sportradar expected completion in the fourth quarter of 2026, subject to customary closing conditions. [1]
Sportradar said it will retain certain technology assets, capabilities and revenue already integrated into its business. Those include automated video production cameras, automated graphics solutions, certain computer vision capabilities and competition management products. The company described the transaction as part of a focus on betting, gaming and media. CEO Carsten Koerl said the proceeds would strengthen the balance sheet and support capital allocation priorities. [1]
Sportradar's announcement said the parties would work together on a transition for clients, partners and employees. The agreement follows Sportradar's March 22, 2021 announcement that it had reached a definitive agreement to acquire Synergy Sports. That earlier announcement described Synergy's video and analytics business, including automated video production and graphics. [1] [2]
