The Michigan Gaming Control Board said on 30 October that fixed-odds wagering on horse racing has been added to the state's online sports betting catalog, allowing licensed online sportsbooks in Michigan to offer the product from the same date.
MGCB said the bets let customers lock in the odds at the time they place a wager and can be offered on licensed Michigan online sports betting platforms.
The regulator said the same consumer protections used in Michigan's regulated sports-betting market also apply to fixed-odds horse-racing wagers, including licensing requirements, responsible-gaming tools, and age and residency checks.
