The Malta Gaming Authority said on 29 October that it had completed its review of feedback on proposed updates to the Recognition Notice framework, marking the end of its targeted consultation process. In its public announcement, however, the regulator did not disclose the specific refinements made after consultation.
According to the MGA, the feedback received led to refinements intended to keep the revised Recognition Notice approach proportionate, risk-based and practical for Recognition Notice holders. The authority did not outline those changes in the public notice.
The MGA said a Feedback Statement summarising the responses, the authority’s position and the way forward had been circulated to Recognition Notice holders and their representatives. It also said further information on the practical application of specific requirements would be shared later.
